Violinist Woijciech Garbowski presents a captivating new solo program, created exclusively for Sonarloft – Tangoloft, centered around Chaconne by J.S. Bach. By highlighting the piece´s often overlooked dance origin, Garbowski draws a bold connection between Bach´s timeless masterpiece, his own improvised compositions and works by Eugéne Ysaÿe, Bela bartok, Astor Piazolla and other dance inspired works by Bach.

Known for his expressive range and innovative techniques, Garbowski uses the violin to explore both smooth transitions and abrupt contrasts, weaving them into a seamless musical narrative that guides the listener through the entire concert experience.

The program features music by Bach, Bartók, Ysaÿe, and Piazzolla, and some uniquely inspired by the spirit of David Bowie—merging classical tradition with contemporary edge.
