The BBA Artist Prize 2022 is now in its final stage! Countless numbers of applicants from all over the world participated in this year’s BBA Artist Prize 2022 Open Call for artists and submitted their works – compiled of all sorts of media, themes and contexts – in the aim of proving their talent to the international expert jury evaluating the applications. After months of preparation, BBA is eager to finally present the 25 Shortlisted artists, selected from the Longlist, who will be provided the unique opportunity to exhibit their work at the Kühlhaus Berlin, one of the city’s most popular arts and culture exhibition venues. The group exhibition will be on view from June 3 to 19.

BBA Gallery and the BBA Artist Prize

The BBA Artist Prize aims to discover aspiring artists and kicks doors open for their entry into the art world. BBA places particular emphasis on offering a stage to artists of all ages and career spheres – regardless of origin, gender or educational background. What counts is solely the authenticity, uniqueness and professionalism of their work. The BBA team as well as the Artist Prize jury is driven by the desire to discover and promote exceptional forms of artistic expression across borders, genders, nationalities and themes.

For the seventh consecutive year, the BBA Artist Prize will be awarded to emerging artists they discover from all over the world. To ensure a high level of expertise and an unbiased evaluation, an independent jury of experts has evaluated the broad selection of applications and will announce the winners of the prizes on June 4 at 8pm during the group exhibition. The 1st prize winner will receive a prestigious solo exhibition at the BBA Gallery in Berlin-Mitte.
