Step into a living sculpture and experience the ultimate act of radical presence. Internationally acclaimed artist JAŠA (Venice Biennale 2015) invites you to Kühlhaus Berlin for the powerful penultimate chapter of his five-year odyssey, The Monuments. Chapter 16: Poetic Justice is a site-specific installation and durational performance that transforms three floors of industrial architecture into a “defragmented scriptbook” of light, sound, and human movement.
In this immersive Gesamtkunstwerk, the boundaries between observer and participant dissolve. Move freely through a staged landscape of painting, video, and sculpture, encountering a world where art doesn’t just reflect reality—it creates it. While the exhibition spans the entire building, a continuous, looped performance unfolds on the first floor, where an international collective of performers explores a new language of touch and closeness.
“Poetic Justice is the justice of the skin, the heart, and the imagination,” says JAŠA. This chapter marks the final phase of a project initiated in 2021, turning years of conceptual commitment into an undeniable act of togetherness.
Performance: Friday, 6.2.2026, 18:00 – 22:00. Access: 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00. Admission: 10 €.
