This September Transmoderna is showing THE FLIP in Berlin during Art Week.
Its story follows Mira, a sensitive protagonist emblematic of a generation defined by anxiety. She can sense the movement of the Earth’s geomagnetic field. Through her eyes we explore a present similar to ours, where humanity’s fragile systems – ecological and technological – collide amidst planetary disarray.
THE FLIP 85,21° N, 131,22° E represents the next evolution in our signature cross-medium architecture. Inspired by tectonic shaping of earth’s crust we built a screen architecture that joins 30 fragmented screens into a whole. The work reacts to this new set up, deconstructing and reassembling the visual lore in a completely novel way.
A unique reactive lightscape will add additional layers of immersion to the experience as well as the original soundscapes by @dixon_ , @jimi_jules and @trikkmusic .
Expect activations throughout the week, bringing collaborators and friends to join us for talks, live enactments, VJ battles, and afters.
